Aurora Block
— A Temporary Climate Control System

Temporary and critical operations require stable conditions even when environments, loads, and requirements change. Aurora Block is a modular temporary climate control system designed to eliminate variables and keep site conditions stable, efficient, and predictable by default.

Developed through Arctic Warm’s own field experience, Aurora Block delivers heating, cooling and humidity control as one integrated system. It combines low-emission technologies with intelligent control logic to provide reliable performance for demanding, time-critical environments.

In short: maximum uptime, minimum entropy, and zero legacy headaches.

A smarter approach to temporary climate control

Aurora Block was developed to address a common reality: temporary solutions often carry permanent risks. Fuel logistics, manual adjustments, and fragile setups increase uncertainty exactly when conditions should be controlled. In an engineering sense, traditional setups are a single point of failure.

By replacing fossil-fuel-heavy setups with a software-defined modular, low-emission system, Aurora Block enables a more resilient approach to temporary climate control. Energy use is optimized automatically via real-time feedback loops, emissions are significantly reduced, and site conditions remain stable without constant supervision.

Several clients describe the value in simple terms: once the system is running, it stops being something they have to think about.

"The biggest value is that you can sleep at night. You don’t have to worry whether the system is running, whether it froze, or whether someone needs to refuel it."

Built as a system, not a single machine

Managing temporary conditions with individual machines usually means managing individual problems as well. That’s exactly why the Aurora Block was developed.

Aurora Block is a modular hybrid climate control system designed to adapt to changing operational needs. By stacking and combining modules, required capacity is achieved with significantly less space than traditional temporary equipment.

Modular

Aurora Block’s modular units can be stacked, relocated, and configured to fit even the most demanding urban sites.

Hybrid

Aurora Block combines air-to-water heat pumps, geothermal, and oil heating under intelligent real-time control for optimal efficiency and reliability.

Scalable

Aurora Block’s scalable design adapts from small urban sites to large operations with capacities reaching hundreds of kilowatts, always delivering the right output with minimal cost.

How does the temporary climate control system work in practice?

Each Aurora Block module operates independently, but when connected, the system forms a centrally controlled energy network. Loads are balanced automatically, energy sources are prioritized intelligently, and performance is optimized continuously.

This allows the system to respond immediately to changes such as demand fluctuations, temperature drops, or power interruptions without manual intervention. With traditional equipment, you’re constantly adjusting and reacting. This system solves the problem before you know it exists.

Across active sites, Aurora Block systems have demonstrated operational reliability above 99%, including during power outages and extreme conditions.

One client described a situation
that sums it up well:

“There was a power outage during a holiday. The backup unit took over automatically. Heating continued without interruption – and nobody had to leave the dinner table.”

Aurora Block is designed for seamless interconnectivity.

Each Aurora Block module operates independently, but when connected, they form a centrally managed energy grid. The system automatically balances loads, intelligently prioritizes energy sources, and continuously optimizes performance.

This enables an immediate response to events like temperature drops or power outages without manual intervention. While traditional equipment requires constant adjustment and reaction, this system solves the problem before you even know it exists.

In active deployments, Aurora Block has achieved over 99% reliability, even in extreme conditions and during power outages.

Artic Warm - Aurora Block for heating, cooling and climate control

The Aurora Block system modules

Aurora Block is built from purpose-designed modules, each with a specific role within the overall system. Modules can operate independently or as part of a coordinated network.

Aurora 28:
Air to Water

A highly adaptable module suitable for almost any site. Operates efficiently in all climates, providing heating, cooling, and humidity control with precision and reliability. The workhorse of the fleet.

Aurora 40 Geothermal:

Designed for sites with geothermal access. Uses renewable ground heat to deliver efficient, low-emission heating, cooling, and humidity control while preserving long-term ground loop performance.

Aurora 64 Condensing Oil:

The Redundancy Layer. A high-efficiency backup heat source that activates automatically during outages or extreme cold. Achieves up to 90–98% fuel efficiency and can also be used independently for ground thawing.
Together, these modules form a resilient and adaptable temporary climate control system that can be tailored precisely to operational needs.

Designed for multiple industries and use cases

Aurora Block is used across sectors where conditions must remain stable despite changing external factors. While priorities differ, the system adapts to each environment.

Construction

This is our core expertise. Arctic Warm supports drying, winter construction, and controlled conditions at every stage. Automation reduces risks, protects structures, and keeps schedules on track without the need for constant on-site supervision. If it works on a construction site, it works anywhere.

Military, defence and security of supply

When failure is not an option, we deliver modular performance. Our systems are designed for continuity and reliability, even in the face of sudden changes in external conditions or energy supply.

Other temporary or critical environments

Our solutions are also used in greenhouses, hotels, and temporary accommodation. These are locations where seasonal demand or business continuity depends on stable temperatures and energy efficiency.

Efficiency Metrics

Over 85%
More Predictable Costs

With only ~5–20% of total costs coming from energy consumption (electricity and fuel) and 80–95% tied to fixed unit pricing, Aurora Block delivers a cost structure that is over 85% more predictable compared to traditional oil heaters. By treating both electricity and fuel as energy variables, we provide a more transparent and realistic cost comparison for your project.

Over 90%
Lower CO₂ Emissions

Aurora Block is powered primarily by zero-emission heat pump technologies. Fuel is consumed only by the The Redundancy Layer, ensuring more than 90% lower CO₂ emissions than conventional solutions while providing critical reliability even in demanding conditions.

Up to 30%
Lower Costs

Optimization is a standard feature. By optimizing both the number of blocks and the chosen energy source, each site always operates with the right capacity at maximum efficiency. Resulting in up to 30% lower total costs.

Temporary climate control that adapts to your operation

Aurora Block provides a controlled, efficient, and scalable foundation for temporary climate control across industries. Designed through real-world experience and refined through repeated use, it delivers what temporary solutions often promise – but rarely achieve.

Stable conditions. Lower risk. And the freedom to focus on what actually matters.
